📍 Eldheimar Volcano Museum
Westman Islands, Iceland
When we visited Iceland, I knew I wanted to visit the Westman Islands to see their local puffin lookouts, but also to visit the Eldheimar Volcano Museum, built around a house affected by the 1973 eruption.
The museum has immersive audio and was a fantastic way of showcasing how homes were buried under volcanic ash, leaving some items perfectly preserved. If you’re a volcano nerd like me, this is a must-visit
