In May 2011, Andrea's life was tragically cut short in a shocking act of femicide that devastated her family and exposed deep flaws in the justice system. After enduring a cycle of domestic abuse and relentless stalking, Andrea was brutally murdered in broad daylight by her ex-boyfriend. Despite eyewitnesses and being caught at the scene, the killer used bribes to secure bail and successfully fled to Brazil with the help of his own mother, evading justice for seven long years.
