On August 5, 2025 in Punta Gorda, Florida, deputies responded to an urgent domestic violence call. After separating both parties and gathering statements, officers detained the boyfriend for further questioning. A short time later, a woman identifying herself as his mother, Amy Katherine Borkowski, arrived and the scene escalated, leading to her being detained after an alleged altercation with deputies.
