Casa Bem Vivida Electrolux — A Modular Future of Brazilian Architecture | Designed by Superlimão | Full Tour + Interview
Created to celebrate Electrolux’s 100 years in Brazil, Casa Bem Vivida Electrolux is an experimental architectural installation that reimagines the future of living through sustainability, innovation, and Brazilian identity.
Designed by the São Paulo–based studio Superlimão, the project was presented at the Brazilian Architecture Biennial (BAB) in São Paulo, Brazil, as a living prototype, a modular, prefabricated house that can be disassembled and reassembled across different locations.
This cinematic film offers a complete architectural tour of the space, combined with an exclusive interview with the architects behind the project, revealing the thinking, research, and experimentation that shaped the house.
Rooted in Brazilian architectural traditions, the design reinterprets elements like the cobogó into a contemporary system made from recycled PET, creating lightweight, ventilated façades. Earth-based wall finishes applied over PET wool panels introduce thermal and humidity regulation, turning the house into a responsive, living system.
At the heart of the concept is a large, symbolic roof, a gesture that synthesizes the essence of Brazilian architecture, combined with passive strategies such as natural ventilation, filtered daylight through shed openings, and material efficiency.
Fully modular by design, every component, from walls to flooring to roof structure, is conceived as a system of interconnected parts. After the exhibition, the house continues its journey, adapting to new contexts as part of Electrolux activations across Brazil.
More than a pavilion, this project explores how architecture can evolve: reducing material use, embracing circularity, and integrating technology with tradition.
