I see mould exposed patients in the Byron Herbalist clinic frequently and I'm always surprised when they are NOT histamine intolerant. It is such a common presentation of mould exposure and drives histamine intolerance in a multitude of ways. The biggest driver here would be via mast cell degranulation and liberation of excessive histamine as an inflammatory response to mycotoxins.
Testing for mould exposure includes urine mycotoxin testing as well as organic acids testing too. These. two labs are invaluable to rule in or rule out immune mediated histamine intolerance.
