Join me in exploring Venice Beach, beginning with some early morning views from the penthouse floor of the iconic and historic Venice V Hotel. Opening in the spring of 1915 as the Waldorf Hotel, it became the posh playground for the the rich and famous, including Charlie Chaplin and Clara Bow, who both held penthouses there. Sumptuously restored a few years ago, the hotel has succeeded in recapturing the romance and luxury it once represented. We'll get sneak peaks of these famous penthouses before visiting the boardwalk and the famous Venice Skatepark and finally heading off to an evening hike at Eaton Canyon in Pasadena.
