A Lovely Night With the Giants - Canon R & Nikon P1000 Cameras @Jayling

A nice cool evening with the big guys, Jupiter & Saturn, along with the 81% lit Moon.

Back to a Canon R camera once again (phew!, I was lost without it). Testing out the low light with a customized Picture Style Profile - not great but a tad better than before. Zoomed footage is with the Nikon P1000 camera.

$Jupiter, Saturn & Mars - More Testing William Optics GT71 Telescope Without Reducer - Pushed Too Far A bit more playing around/testing with the new William Optics GT71 telescope, pushing it beyond extremes, which means the quality will be quite poor due to my pushing the magnification too far. If you haven’t seen the video before this one it will show the gear used. Jupiter, Saturn & Mars with a large 1 second flyby below Mars at 8:20. $William Optics GT71 Telescope - Orion Nebula, Sirius, Moon & Venus The other telescope was sent back due to quality concerns, but this morning we have the William Optics GT71 APO Triplet Refractor Telescope, F/5.9, 420mm, (2.8”), with the flattener/reducer on (F/4.7 at 336mm) I’m not very proficient with editing photos so please don’t judge too harshly. Without having an equatorial mount that’s polar aligned for long exposures, it’s difficult to get decent shots of nebulas, etc. Anyway, we do the best we can with what we have at this skill level. Orion Nebula, Sirius, the 87% Moon and even Venus feature in this, along with the clips taken last evening of Jupiter, Saturn & Mars (no zooming). The satellites which zipped by at 1:40 were the Falcon 9 & Cusat 2.
