In this video, we look at random and non-random sampling. First we explore how we can use random numbers to carry out random sampling and the benefits of doing this. We then look at non-random sampling including opportunistic sampling, stratified sampling and systematic sampling (line transect and belt transect).

In this video, we look at nanoparticles. First we explore the relative sizes of particles and look at what is meant by a micrometre and a nanometre. We look at what is meant by coarse particles, fine particles and nanoparticles. We then look at the surface area : volume ratio of particles and use this to explain why nanoparticles are useful. Finally, we explore the potential negative effects of nanoparticles.
