This is a White I-Dog Dance I recently rescued & purchased from Ebay for only $19.00 total as it was being sold for “parts or not working,” and when I received it, the issue of the seller claiming that it wouldn’t turn on was because there was some corrosion in the compartment which has been cleaned by me when I found that out.
After I cleaned out the contacts as good as I could, it finally powered on with new batteries and this is something I never thought would experience and/or witness on this exact White I-Dog Dance.
This I-Dog Dance has a couple cases of the WEIRDEST issues that I never encountered on any Dances before…until now. In this random testing video, I demonstrate the weird issues this I-Dog Dance where some parts of it work while some don’t, like the dancing doesn’t work, and the lifting up and down seems like someone from the Hasbro factory messed up with the lifting mechanism/gears on this one where it’s not behaving properly like how all I-Dog Dances are supposed to function as shown here, and also doesn’t respond when set to try me mode where it’s still stuck in play mode.
Yes, this I-Dog has new batteries but might try a few other ones just to be sure but it’s highly unlikely it has to do with the batteries for this type of case for this one.
Also, I apologize that my hands were kinda dry in the video, but don’t worry as my hands are fine as this was filmed a couple weeks ago and I was out of lotion at that time but no big deal as it’s all good lol
I’m hoping to fix this guy down the road once I manage to figure out how to exactly open up I-Dog Dances (since they are a PAIN to take apart) and how to properly fix them where they can all work fully without anymore issues occurring again. Might do restoration videos as well, but not sure yet as that may be a long time later as this is mostly a showcase of one with weirdest issues I never saw on any other ones which I thought would show you guys, in case some of you have one with this exact problem like this White one and/or just similar to that diagnosis this one is having at the moment.
