Here’s Chunk, aka the surfin’ champ dude hamster that also has a love for delicious cupcakes; has returned again for the new Zhu Zhu City Hamster series that are supposedly still available in Walmart stores this year since June 2025! I’ve always loved Chunk ever since I got the original line model of him back in my childhood years, and I’m so glad he returned as part of the Wave 1 City Hamsters in today’s Zhu Zhu Pets product line. It also feels both good and interesting at the same time to hear his unique sounds in much higher quality while they’re mostly the newer sound quality order of his sounds, but his iconic “go go go” sound will always be nostalgic to me, even in present day. It was a bit hard to find Chunk, but at least I was able to get him alongside with some of the other City Hamsters I got the same time with Chunk from Walmart. He’s still one of my personal favs to this day as I really love his unique sounds!
I’m really happy Chunk has returned once again, especially since he was one of the most popular Zhus back in the good old days, and is back to being his classic self in the new Zhu Zhu City Hamster (Gen 3) Series line, aka the laid-back & surfer dude ham.
The new Zhu Zhu City Hamster model of Chunk is more fluffy, a bit chubbier, and even has really great sound quality compared to the original line model that has his quality of sounds slightly distorted. I’m truly impressed with these guys in the new current line of the Zhu Zhu Pets.
Highly recommend getting a City Hamster like Chunk if you haven’t already while they’re still available at mostly Walmart and/or Hobby Lobby stores. This is the Gemmy Animated 2012 Mini Rudolph The Red Nosed Reindeer which is a really rare variant that hasn’t ever been known to exist until years later!
This is a special variant of the Mini Rudolph series from Gemmy that has darker fur rather than the lighter fur that many of the previous ones had like the 2010/2011 models of this Rudolph, has no hair in his ears, and the nose is plush instead of hard. This unique variant of Rudolph is surely UBER Rare to find and one of the most rarest Gemmy Rudolph items to come across, especially since there wasn’t even any videos of this exact Rudolph in action at all (until now), and even I didn’t know this version existed either.
I got this Rudolph for my birthday this year a few months back and thought why not upload it in action since it’s Christmas already, so here it is lol
I’m also officially the second person to upload a video of this 2012 model Mini Rudolph in action on YouTube as there is also one other video of one in action that was uploaded by a Gemmy collector named Erik The Fish Guy. Mine works great with no issues and has a nice normal pitch too. I’m hoping he’ll last a long time since these Mini Rudolphs are so cheaply made and are known to just break so easily (like I used to have the 2010 and 2011 of this but those are more common than this and both of those broke).
Surprisingly, this was the very last Rudolph to play the classic recording we all loved that sounds exactly like Rudolph in the good old years of Gemmy and they used this recording from 1997-2011 and since this was released in 2012 where they weirdly changed the recording on other Rudolph items in that year, this still has the legendary recording and is the last Rudolph to have from Gemmy. I find that pretty amazing and way better than using a new recording that sounded nothing like Rudolph at that time. This is super UBER Rare and very hard to find anywhere, no joke!
