They are guardians of a horological culture that is handed down from generation to generation and that began in 1845, when Ferdinand A. Lange founded his watch manufactory in Glashütte, Sachsen. After the German Reunification, his great-grandson Walter Lange refounded the manufactory after its expropriation in in late 1940s. Ferdinand A.
