Sooo, having really nothing else to do but study study study, I decided to upload this non-fandom vidlet I made as an introduction or conclusion to the presentation of my thesis for the finals.
I still don't know if I'm goint to be showing it, because it's not very conventional, but I guess my thesis isn't as well, so.. I'm going to have to ask my professors :)

Fandoms used: Legend of the Seeker, What Dreams May Come, Dorian Gray (2009), Mouline Rouge, The Vampire Diaries, Supernatural, Doctor Who (series 5), Gabriel, Frankenstein (1994), Troy, White Collar.

Note: I do not watch some of these. I only needed the clips and/or have watched a few episodes randomly :) BUT I will catch up on SPN & start watching DW as soon as I'm finished with school ;)

If you want to understand the video, I'll give you a few details about my thesis:

Th.: there are some people, destined for greatness, but who, inserted into the wrong social, political and/or historical context, are doomed to fail under various aspects (I will be using the metaphor of the fallen angel to connect everything).
Demonstration: I will give three examples -
The Artist - French & Italian Boheme. Decadentism, Toulouse-Lautrec and pre-simbolism. Their distruction in alchool, drugs and an ill-lived life.
The Monster - Frankenstein's monster, born to be perfect and with a good soul, but made evil by the human beings around him and rejected because of his looks.
The Hero - Antigone, forced to choose between State and Family by a selfish governament.

Conclusion: The only solution is not suicide, nor apathism or renouncing to the Wille Zum Leben (see Schopenhauer), but poetry: no matter how much you will be rejected in your own society, make yourself immortal through art; sooner or later there will be a time when you'll be accepted for who you are.
