I recently encountered some musical theater lovers who revealed that they did not understand many of the the lyrics in the song "Mushnik and Son" from the 1982 musical "Little Shop of Horrors". The song was also left out of the 1986 movie of the same name, and since then the lyrics to the stage version were changed, presumably because the original ones 'went over the heads' of most audience members. In this video, I attempt to explain these funny and topical lyrics.
