Today we outline a proposal to integrate a dedicated AI accelerator chip into a future generation of high-end gaming consoles.
By utilizing ultra-low-power ASIC technology, the hardware would enable real-time, on-device tasks such as procedural level generation and dynamic NPC behaviour without relying on external cloud services.
This technical shift aims to significantly boost gameplay longevity and variety while maintaining a strict power budget and a low manufacturing cost. We conclude that adding this specialized silicon is economically viable and provides a strategic advantage through latency-free, privacy-focused innovation.
Ultimately, the roadmap suggests a transition from current chip architectures toward a fully integrated, AI-driven gaming ecosystem by the early 2030s.
