I'll be up front - I'm not too happy with this episode. But it's not the fault of the challenge... it's the inexplicable connection issues I've been plagued with for the last month or so. We've seen this a bunch in the first two parts, but it REALLY ruined this one... I'm not entirely sure what to do about it, but I'm going to try a few things and see if I can get back to the connection quality I had when the game came out. Regardless, hopefully our struggle against adversity can provide some entertainment here!
1) At the start of the challenge, Permanently recruit 6 new Pokémon from the current Regulation. There are no restrictions on what you can pick outside of Species Clause. Release all other mons once recruited.
2) Build the team using only those 6 Pokémon. No held items of any kind are allowed at the start of the challenge.
3) At any time between games, you are allowed to freely EV Train any of your Pokémon (including changing Natures), and you are allowed to teach Protect (and ONLY Protect) to any Pokémon.
4) Go on the Doubles Ranked Ladder and attempt to win games. For every game you win you earn a Champion Point to spend on an improvement to your team.
5) Champion Points may be spent on the following:
a) Recruit a new Pokémon.
b) Unlock 1 Item at random from all available choices.
c) Unlock 1 Mega Stone of your choice.
d) You can change one move on any of your Pokémon.
e) You can change the Ability of one of your Pokémon.
