A friend of mine got this old tool at a yard sale. It is a nail puller. I removed the dirt and rust. Then new handle scales were made up from spalted maple. The original stamping can be read. One side has "The Bridgeport Hdwe Co USA", the other side has the patent date, "September 29 1908" stamped on it. This tool is now in perfect condition at 109 years of age.
