LRGB combination in PixInsight is limited by a lack of ability to control how images are blended and finicky tools that may produce poor outcomes if the data isn't exactly to their liking. A better way to combine the L to the RGB channels is in a layer based, non-destructive photo editor where you can combine as many layers as you want and discreetly modify how each component of the image is blended.
