The ELIM Elytra is a compact, genuinely wireless split mechanical keyboard for people who care about key feel, layout and the small details. It is beautifully made, remarkably light and, compared with the cheapest mechanical keyboard I could find, frankly in another class.
There is a price for that purity. The layout asks you to type properly, familiar controls live on programmable layers, and my years of questionable muscle memory did not surrender quietly. I also encountered some confusing battery reporting during testing. But the actual experience of typing on the Elytra is superb—and it may be the first split keyboard I genuinely want to persevere with.
In this review, I use the Elytra for everyday work, connect it to an e-ink tablet, explore its programmable layout and compare it with a budget mechanical keyboard. Can a keyboard built for the typing elite win over someone who still reaches for the wrong Shift key?
