SpaceGuru5UPDATE (10 Mar 2024): I have an addendum to this video and document uploaded. The events and debunks in this video are still true, but the explanations I gave about myself were not. I was in an extremely bad head space when I made this video, and I used this video to justify abusing myself.
In 2022, I accused Ephrom Josine (The Ephrommentator) of sexually harassing Fractured Light. I also accused him of trying to steer Light's sexual preferences. I've retracted both of those statements and am working to undo the damage I caused. This video shows the timeline of events, explains why I did what I did and why I failed to act sooner, and why the accusations I made about him were patently false.
Sexual harassment is a very serious accusation to throw at someone, and it should never be made unless there is definitive proof that it happened. I had no such proof, but I chose to lie anyway. I've let everyone down, and I'm nothing but sorry for willingly damaging Ephrom's reputation. I have no excuse for what I did. Ephrom didn't deserve anything, and he needs support now more than ever. This video and the attached document should serve to dispel the accusations about him. Anyone who repeats them, even knowing that they're false, is a liar, like I was.

This is a video that's been almost 2 months in the making. If you remember my last video, I discussed the false claims I made about Ephrom Josine in 2022 and went into detail about the actual events, debunking the claims I made about him.
This time, I'm here to debunk the claims I made about myself. I didn't do what I did out of malice; I did it because I thought it was right, and when I found out that I hurt Ephrom I couldn't forgive myself. I believed the awful things I thought about myself, and I even considered suicide. This is my story.
The thumbnail is an actual piece of vent art I made last month.
Made 24-26 Dec 2023Deep SleepSpaceGuru52023-12-23 | I started making this Flipnote on 26 Sep 2020, but then it kinda got shelved for a few years. However, I finished it up earlier this evening, and I'm very pleased with the results. Enjoy!

Flipnote Link: flipnot.es/UADR2WBeethoven: German DanceSpaceGuru52023-11-21 | This is a video I took earlier today of me playing Beethoven's "German Dance" on piano. The piece itself came from my class textbook.
I made this for an assignment for Class Piano I. However, since I've already shared my composition with you all, I figured I might as well share this as well. Enjoy!G. Martinez - Miserere (2023)SpaceGuru52023-11-07 | Composed 06 Oct to 03 Nov 2023 for a chorale assignment. This is written from the perspective of a penitent soul who seeks God's mercy, and it culminates in the joy of one having achieved personal salvation. The past few years have been full of personal penance, and so I sought to capture that here. I realize it's not as simple as was asked of me, but I think I made it work.
Lyrics: Miserere mei, Deus, quia peccavi tibi! Domine, dele iniquitatem meam!
Have mercy on me, God, for I have sinned against you! Lord, blot out my transgressions!
There's a blunder in this video. Near the end, I marked the fully diminished 7th chord as being in 2nd inversion (vii°4/3, which would be B°7/F). This is a mistake; it is actually in 1st inversion (vii°6/5, which would be B°7/D). Despite my perfectionist impulses, I've elected to just begrudgingly let it be.The Wolfs Hour (2023) | Puss in Boots 2 Fan MusicSpaceGuru52023-02-08 | I saw Puss in Boots: The Last Wish the day after it hit theaters. I think it's one of the best movies of all time. Naturally, I fell in love with the Wolf character, and I decided to write a song based on his signature whistle. I'd practiced writing jazz progressions for a good while beforehand; this was my first real effort in making a jazz ensemble piece. I hope you'll enjoy it!

Happy New Year! About a month later. Hey, better now than never. I'm kicking off the year with a surprise. Yes, I'm tackling a bit of an oldie from an easy target, but sometimes you just need to pick the low hanging fruit. Besides, I feel I have some worthwhile things to say here, so who gives a damn?
Today we'll be looking at MsMojo's "Top 10 Disney Villains Who Were Right All Along" video, particularly the #1 entry. I have a lot to say here, so let's get into it, yeah?
By the way, new avatar. :B
Hungry for more? A commentary on the rest of MsMojo's list has just been released! Check it out: youtu.be/J0jfpq9OFXA

I went with my older sister to meet and get autographs from the likes of PewDiePie, Markiplier, Jacksepticeye, CinnamonToastKen, and the Game Grumps. This video contains some footage I recorded of Pewds, Mark, Jack, and Ken about to play Cards Against Humanity (if my memory serves me well). There's some bonus pictures in here, too.
I was reminded of this event when I looked up Pewds' "On the Stage!" video and saw me and my sister in the audience. We were pretty close to the front row. You may be able to pick us out, seeing how I looked here.
Thanks for tuning in. Merry Something to all of you. :)Hey GirlSpaceGuru52022-12-06 | One more Flipnote upload for the year, just because. I actually had this idea about a month ago, but I finally realized it today. I couldn't be any happier with the results. Here, Tails laments the imminent loss of his Seedrian love, Cosmo.

There's a lot of heavy shit covered in this video, from grooming to gaslighting. Viewer discretion is very strongly advised.
This video is part of a great continuum that I call "the Guru Chronicles." The intent is to capture the most major parts of my history and keep them in a place where they can be referenced more easily, since my output stretches back so long ago. Original version of this video: youtube.com/watch?v=beiUN8BVOPkLOST VIDEO: Spite, Toxicity, & Their Effects on the CC (2019)SpaceGuru52022-09-20 | Some of you may remember this old video I posted in March 2019. I haven't seen it uploaded or mirrored anywhere else, and I still had the old project file (I deleted the export years ago because the backlash was so harsh), so I took it upon myself to reconstruct this lost video of mine.
I don't stand by this video. I'm merely posting it for the sake of posterity. You guys deserve to see my history in its honest form. I assure you that the only change I made to the original video is the addition of the 15-second note at the very beginning. Everything else is as it was back then.
Please understand.

This one's a bit darker than I would normally go. I think it matches the subject matter quite well (the song is literally a zany memento mori). Plus, I think I captured how unsettling I found the demo to be when I first heard it.
Enjoy!
Sudomemo: flipnot.es/ZTSP6N(MIRROR) SpaceGuru5: He Who Cries Abuse Enabler [Kurome Cien Towa]SpaceGuru52022-08-03 | In light of Kurome privating his video villainizing me and making excuses for his shitty behavior towards me, I've taken it upon myself to mirror his video. After all, the dude clearly wanted his side to be made known, and he figured I shouldn't be able to hide on here. Why should he hide here either?
In the mean time, you can check out my commentary on his video here, since literally everything Kurome said about me was wrong, and everything I said about him wound up being right: youtube.com/watch?v=ChivQaLL5WU
I can't thank you guys enough for the support y'all have shown me. It's really helped me through these trying times. As always, I must strongly urge you not to go after Kurome himself. No need to reignite his bonfire.FacepalmsSpaceGuru52022-07-31 | Just a quick little upload. This is actually a Flipnote I made in 2019, just a few days after the TBONE co-op I did with 8363MTR was published. This is one of the many highlights I had to choose from that video (seriously, I still think it's really fucking good). Obviously, I censored the words "goddamn" and "shit" for Sudomemo.
Animated 29 May 2019A Day At the Mall with DFG HulkSpaceGuru52022-07-09 | Don't mind the glitch artifacts at some parts. My friend's camcorder took some damage recently, and he's holding out for a new one.
It got to that time of year again when I fly up to visit my friend DFG Hulk. I didn't get to film much of what we did (whenever we did stuff), but I made sure we would record our adventures at the Tacoma Mall. I don't get to vlog with my friend very often, so if there's a chance I can do it, I'll take it. Join us on our chill adventures and share a taste of our long-running inside jokes!
Recorded 07 Jul 2022Quit Nagging Me!SpaceGuru52022-06-04 | One more Flip for now. This one's a remake of one I made in 2011. I'm extremely happy with how this turned out. I had a lot of fun revisiting this one when I first saw it in the Archives, and I had even more fun playing with the expressions. I hope you like it!
Did you wash your hands? (Quit nagging me!) Did you gargle? (Quit nagging me!) Did you wash your face? (Quit nagging me!) Did you brush your teeth? (Quit nagging me!) Did you do your homework? (Quit nagging me!) Do you wanna make an excuse? (Quit nagging me!) Why don't you give up? (Quit nagging me!) You can't do it, can you? (Quit nagging me!)
Quit nitpicking me, y'all Always finding fault in whatever I do Complaining is fine and all But don't you think that's a bit low? You never care for how others feel That's fine, as long as you feel satisfied Good on you for venting that stress! What do you take me for?
Quit nagging me!And They RanSpaceGuru52022-06-03 | And now for a more lighthearted upload, if I may.
With the Flipnote Archive's release, I've been able to look through all my old Flipnotes from 2009-2012 after having not seen them since 2013 (my original DSi got stolen from me). I was inspired enough to get back into making Flipnotes.
This right here is a loose reconstruction of a Flipnote I created today; I made it as a little homage to my past. If I'm able to, I might even get to recreating some of my old ones. Stay tuned for that, ofc.
Sudomemo upload here: flipnot.es/E3J4R6A Ren Höek Reckoning: Getting Two Birds Stoned [Kurome Cien Towa & CarmenRider]SpaceGuru52022-05-21 | No good deed goes unpunished.
This video's gonna dive headfirst into really heavy subject matter, so whether or not things like that make you uncomfortable, I highly suggest implementing viewer discretion.
Not really the first thing I had in mind for celebrating my channel's 13th birthday. Or for a commentary, for that matter. But you know what? Sometimes, push comes to shove, and you have to put people back into their place. I dunno about you guys, but I think Kurome blaming me for Rae Kohai and Jonie Roo mistreating me, as well as Carmen trying to cancel and harass me for outdated word-of-mouth horse shit from Kurome is enough grounds for this.
I think I knew all along that I was saving Ren for a video like this, especially since between the two of them, Kurome and Carmen have enough legs to stand on to qualify as a Paralympic sprinter.
As cathartic as this video was for me to make, I really don't want to make another video like this unless I absolutely have to. I would much rather show y'all my fun and creative side, not my angry and tough side. But then again, the tone wasn't really a matter of choice for me.
Also, I'm aware that I keep saying Kurome's username is Kronya. At the time of me writing this script, his YouTube username was Kronya instead of Kurome Cien Towa. I have no clue why this is, but this is preserved in Carmen's video. Just clearing up any potential confusion there.
Given her alleged predatory nature, Carmen’s video WILL NOT be linked here. I cannot risk children getting ensnared in her content. I strongly advise that, for safety purposes, no one under the age of 18 should look for her video. No exceptions. Period.

I corresponded the remainders to a set of notes in the C major scale and then developed a simple melody. The rest is history, having been partially inspired by Tantacrul's video on corporate music.
Some of the parts were recorded with my electronic keyboard, in conjunction with MIDI output. Even though it's short and is meant to play on the cynical nature of corporate music, I'm very thoroughly satisfied with how this came out.Just a Josher: Gurus StorySpaceGuru52022-03-04 | Hey all. SpaceGuru5 here. If you haven't seen Dan Chai's video compiling my and my friends' testimonies about the user formerly known as Joshua Montague, I'll provide a link to it below. I figured I may as well post my segment of the video as its own thing, because man did I fucking nail it here.
As always, please remember not to bother anyone I mention here. I'm not here to harass anyone; I'm simply here to inform y'all about someone whom I used to consider a friend, before he unceremoniously cut me off and I found out the truth about him. I didn't wanna do it, but it had to be done.

I'm doing a one-shot on a video decrying the current state of pop music (as in he bemoans songs that are in heavy rotation, or at least WERE as of Nov 2020) and pining for the days when rock music was on rotation. For now, we'll set aside the fact that things are called "alternative" and "mainstream" for a reason. Yeah, I know this video is over a year old, but being an amateur pop historian myself, this is right up my alley. Plus, it's a way for me to show y'all that I'm still working on videos!
That's not what's different, though. I am excited to announce that this is the world's (or at least the SCC's) first ever music-based commentary. I opted for an avant-garde approach for this because I wanted to prove a point that I could've only made with music.
If you don't like this song, you're showing me that people don't like what they can't access. This can apply to your average pop fan not liking metal, and, for that matter, vice versa. If you DO like this song, then it begs the question of why we like the things we like. And fundamentally, like a song or not, that's not what makes a song good or bad. There's something much more than meets the eye, but that's a story for another time.
Lyrics: Hold on now! Heavy types of rock designed to outrage and to shock have never pierced the charts of pop! They never ever reach the top !Aesthetic tastes will always change, and new ones always felt so strange to those who knew of pop before. Don't mean it's not good anymore! In times of old and times anew, you'd find some gold and lots of pew. It's music! Who cares what we think? There ain't no need to cause a stink! Dismissing pop as "all the same" ignores the ultimate pop game! Now go on! Pipe yourself back down; you're making music lovers frown!

After witnessing multiple instances of her obstinate behavior, I decided it was high time for me to step in and give my two cents to CarmenRider. I originally wanted this to be a one-shot on her latest response to Raven Pines. However, on the back of everything else I'd heard and witnessed, I figured a video like this would be more apt.
I speak from my own personal experience. I, too, had went down a similar path to this. It took someone making a very harsh but fair response to my actions in order for me to come back to my senses, and since then I've been actively working to ensure that I don't fall down that path again. It can be done. It's just a matter of willpower.
Given her alleged predatory nature, Carmen’s videos WILL NOT be linked here. I cannot risk children getting ensnared in her content. I strongly advise that, for safety purposes, no one under the age of 18 should look for her videos. No exceptions. Period.

Lyrics: So numb, so numb, so dumb, so dumb, from all my toes to my thumb. The hollow void calls. My weak soul falls, and with it goes my sturdy gall.
The void in my heart grows deep. I know not if I can sleep. My life, the wheat I plan to reap. So much time to think. So much time to drink. Lower do I ever sink.
My vision grows dark. Silent becomes my heart. Do you think this is art? I know not what I feel. Is any of this real? I'll never know the truth revealed.

Lyrics: Thought it was over. Guess I was wrong. Tried to avoid you. It's been so long since I have seen you. My, how you've changed. You've got me down here cursed and deranged.
Nice to meet you again. Welcome home, my friend. We'll be together until the end.
Predestined future colored by my past. The present status will never last. A transient moment of fruitless pain turns into echoes of pure disdain.
Nice to meet you again. Welcome home, my friend. We'll be together until the end.
What is my destiny? What do I choose to see? What is there left of me? There is nowhere left to hide, no space left for me to cry. Why do I even try? I am the victim, guilty as charged. It doesn't matter, by and large.

I called DFG Hulk the other day and, after about 2 hours of talking and catching up on things, I decided now's a good time to bring this series back. I can't say for sure how often I'll be posting these, but expect more; there's a lot of stuff we recorded over the years. This time, I've dug up a video I recorded during the Summer of 2016 while spending the night at DFG's house. I can't go into full details about what we were talking about here, but it'll make more sense once you watch this video. So yeah, I hope you enjoy!

It literally took me just 1 day to make this 9 minute video that thoroughly disputes what this guy says, animated '80s arcade themed background and all. Any excuses? lol
