97 pristine Super Mario Bros./Duck Hunt NES cartridges were discovered after sitting forgotten for decades… and they turned out to be something nobody had documented before! 🍄🤯
The cartridges appear to come from a previously unknown late production run of Super Mario Bros./Duck Hunt, with differences in their labels and manuals that caught the attention of collectors.
But things get even crazier…
These games were reportedly originally destined to be destroyed for the tiny amount of gold inside them, only to survive for decades before eventually being rediscovered.
When the cartridges were submitted to PSA, five received a perfect PSA 10 — the first NES cartridges ever to achieve the grade!
