Wagner Leitmotifs | 94 Immortal Beloved (Siegfried's Idyll) : Der Ring Des Nibelungen @wagnerleitmotifs7654 | Uploaded September 2013 | Updated October 2024, 7 hours ago.
This leitmotif is first heard in act 3 scene 3 of Siegfried.

This motif is heard only once and signals the transition in Brunnhilde as she resolves to become mortal and join Siegfried. Wagner later composed a stand alone piece called Siegfried's Idyll which was performed in his house at Christmas for his wife Cosima's birthday soon after the birth of their son Siegfried.
