15 years... It's really been 15 years. Today, as we all know, is September 11th, 2016, which marks the 15th anniversary of the September 11 attacks. which resulted in 2,996 deaths and the complete destruction of the World Trade Center and the west-southwest side of The Pentagon. For those of us from NYC, we know this pain all too well. The tragic event was a scar that we will never get rid of... but we pulled through the rubble. It took us a long time but we prevailed. In the midst of all the horrible things that took place, we saw the light and made it past that dark time together. As a filmmaker living in NYC, Yoko Higuchi chose to offer his voice and vision to the world, so he created this short film in honor of those who have lost their lives in Lower Manhattan [and to their friends and family]. Using footage shot from the National September 11 Memorial & Museum and stock footage from that horrific day, we present to you this 9/11 short film. Remember what happened that day. Don't shy away from it. Face it. We lived. We prevailed.
