Driving through town in my classic 1982 Datsun 280ZX, Fairlady Z (Nissan). Onboard Dashcam (GoPro Hero 4). I never shift at over 5,000rpm although redline is at 6,400rpm. This car is a non-turbo with some upgrades including headers, exhaust, cat-delete, modified 240Z wedge wing, racing steering wheel, wide aftermarket 14 inch rims with 225 wide tires, and it has all the weight-reduction factory option deletes, so under 2700 lbs.
