Today were going to take a look at three-way corner brackets and connectors. These brackets are perfect for joining three bars together with one connection. Theyre easy to install, and available in fractional metric, and compatible across a wide rang of profile series. Now as you can see, 80/20 offers a few different three-way brackets and connectors to fit any type of bar you may have; rounded angled, and squared bars. Now one thing you want to keep in mind with these fasteners is they are a stand-alone part and bolt assemblies will be required to install them. Also due to the nature of these fasteners, your bars are going to need machined. Each of your three bars will need one end tap into them. Now when it comes to installing these fasteners, the first thing youre going to want to do is feed your bolts through the brackets and into the bars. Now in this example we have two of the bars already completed. To finish it up, well take the connector and place it over the last bar. Well take our bolt and feed it into the end tap, well take our wrench and tighten it the rest of the way down. Once you have the locked in, you have one bracket connecting three bars. Now one last option youll want to consider is an end cap. Simply fits right over the bracket, pops right over, and gives it a smooth clean finish. Today we’re going to take a look at ball latches. These latches are great for latching plastic panels, or profiles, into place. They are easy to install, and available in both fractional and metric. Now the ball latch comes in three different types. We have our standard nylon single ball latch, which is perfect for plastic panels. It’s going to require a panel tap, and a bolt assembly. Next we have our standard double ball latch. This is great for attaching two profiles together. It requires no machining, but will need a bolt assembly as well. And lastly, we have our tension ball latch. This heavy duty ball latch is great for swinging and sliding doors. It requires no machining, and all required hardware comes with it. Now all three of these ball latches install in a similar way, so today we are going to use the nylon single ball latch. As you can see, we’ve got the ball portion threaded into the panel itself. The other half, the latch, we are going to preload the T-nuts and the bolts into it, and slide it into the open T-slot. Next we’ll close the door and line it up with the ball. And then we’ll just tighten it into place. Once you have that tightened, you have a nice strong, secure connection thanks to your ball latch.
