Dedicated in 1948 and inspired by wild Spanish horses, the Mustangs Statue is one of UT Austin’s most iconic landmarks—and now it’s looking better than ever. 🐎✨

Thanks to the Texas Science & Natural History Museum, this Alexander Phimister Proctor sculpture just received a full restoration, including bronze cleaning and waxing plus granite base repairs.

From its commission in 1937 to its wartime delays, this statue’s history runs deep—and it’s ready for many more decades of Longhorn pride.
