I’m working loosely and intuitively, letting the materials do much of the work, and showing how rich and interesting textures can emerge without fuss or pressure. This is very much about process over perfection — playing, experimenting, and seeing what happens when you give the paint a little freedom.
The seven texture techniques I’ll show you are:
• Plastic Wrap
• Salt
• Wet-in-Wet
• Drop Wash
• Water Drips
• Spatter
• Masking
Of course, you don’t need to use all of them in your paintings all the time!
Each technique is easy to try with basic supplies, and you’ll have a lot of fun playing with them at no cost!
This is a relaxed, beginner-friendly session, ideal if you’re looking to loosen up, spark ideas, or simply enjoy the soothing side of watercolor.
