On July 22, 2018, at approximately 4:00 a.m., a vehicle rear-ended the SUV carrying 6ix9ine through Brooklyn. Standard traffic incident, or so it appeared. 6ix9ine's driver, Jorge Rivera, stepped out to check. Two men were already walking toward the vehicle. One drew a weapon. Rivera was pushed aside. The passenger door where 6ix9ine was sitting came open, and he was pulled out of the car and forced into the other vehicle.
