Carol Morley (Dreams of a Life, The Falling) adapts her moving semi-autobiographical novel, capturing her adolescence in Stockport during the 70s and 80s.
 
The 70th BFI London Film Festival takes place 7-18 October in London and cinemas around the UK – tickets on sale 17 September (BFI Members book early).
