Multi-award-winning filmmaker Joachim Trier has created some of the most significant European films in recent years. His largely character driven pieces often challenge accepted forms and structures while providing insight and empathy for the characters in his stories.

In this video, Trier talks about his films, including Oslo, August 31st, The Worst Person in the World and his new film, Sentimental Value, which won the Grand Prix at this year’s Cannes Film Festival.
