PMR446 radio tests and contacts using both a mobile setup in my car but also a test from Bristol into South Wales using the Motorola XT420 walkie-talkie.

02:46 - Dave - Gelligaer - 39 miles (0.5W)
After starting the afternoon up on Broadoak Hill, Dave in Gelligaer recommended a new location a mile across the hill. I would expect coverage to be broadly similar from both locations but East Dundry has the benefit of opening up areas to the south a little better as well as reaching out west to Cardiff better than Broadoak.
Thanks to Pete, James, Dave, Travis and Jamie and anyone else I spoke to this afternoon.
