Practice your free-motion skills with this simple project. Start with the back to get your muscle memory working, then move on to the front—we like to practice on an existing fabric print to get used to all kinds of shapes.

MATERIALS:
• Fun fabric print (for the front), cut at 10" x 10"
• Solid or tonal fabric (for the back), cut at 10" x 10"
• 10" x 10" square of Insul-Bright batting
• 10" x 10" square of Iron Quick
• 10" x 10" square of 100% cotton batting (Wrap n Zap works perfectly)
• Best Press Starch Alternative
• Rotary cutter and mat
• Sew Slip (free motion surface)
• Get Squared Ruler
• Free Motion Foot
• Bias Tape Maker (we used 1")
• Wonder Tape
