Honestly, I should have stopped years ago, but I think it’s only getting worse because selfish time has gotten into bigger and more interesting things. I can’t even begin to describe how incredibly blessed I have been over the years to have gotten the chance to meet so many of you guys and for you to always allow me to do what I think is fun. Once again, I have been a part of projects for studios that I’m not even a member of. This is what I mean when I say that it's crazy to think about when you are only looking at me from the outside. And not to sound like a broken record every time that I make a collection, but I truly want to thank everyone for everything that you personally do for this community. Even if you think you do the bare minimum, in whatever field, I promise that those little things help someone immensely down the line. I know that I spent the last year claiming that I was going to make a public MEP, but isn't this all worth the wait? I really hope it is because I have thought of a million different ideas, but ultimately went with the one that will probably get me to laugh the most since I love doing random things all the time. So without further ado, let me introduce you guys to the Livin La Vida Loca project. I wanted this project to be similar to how I usually set up all my other projects on this channel, which includes a few moments of back and forth brainstorming with one another. With that being said, this project is going to fit however many of you guys feel like joining instead of trying to fit you guys into an already set project. Down below is a link to a server that my friend Hoa (@pockivi) so kindly created for me that will hopefully explain this project even further. Before I go, I would just like to say, if you are worried that you aren’t “good enough” or “will bring down this project”, I just want to tell you that everyone is welcome to be a part of this adventure. I can not even begin to describe how much love I feel for my little retirement home to actually create a whole project with me just because someone asked if I can create something for Pride Month. I didn’t know what I was expecting, but I’m still shocked that this is the result that came out of it. Like I said, I’m seriously speechless right now and I can not thank my AMAZING friends that joined me on this adventure (even to the ones that were there at the very beginning). C3 was never meant to be a studio and it still isn’t to this day, but to see some of them take the time to edit something even when they haven’t looked at their program(s) in over half a year or more, it really made me feel like I was flying over the moon to be blessed with this opportunity. So for the millionth time that they probably heard me say this, thank you so much to everyone for making a random suggestion that turned into a very random idea that created this beautiful reality. You all make me oh, so selfish.

This project came together because I fell in love with the song while listening to this year’s Eurovision. Nemo’s use of combining different musical styles really stuck with me over time and even if this project isn’t a perfect mirror image to their personal story, the theme of ‘breaking the code’ will always be timeless. Congratulations Nemo for your win and I hope that everyone who feels pressured into following society’s ‘norms’ will someday be able to glitch out of the system and feel more like your true self.

I can not thank my friends enough for always wanting to join me on these adventures. I’m still surprised that most of them agreed to this and there were even some of them that were upset about not being able to join. I hope that you all know that you spoiled me rotten. Nevertheless, I really do wish that you all had a great time editing these pieces and also hope that you enjoy the final product. I’m still laughing at the fact that almost everyone worked with some sort of car and here I am with a truck, bike and skateboard. This is a perfect example of why I should have been stopped a long time ago. If I’m going to make a joke, you know that I will put my whole heart into it. Regardless, I just want to say thank you, once again, to everyone that joined me on this adventure. I’m not sure why I keep forgetting to start these a bit earlier, but look at what everyone can do in 3 weeks. Seriously, from start to finish, it has been a wild ride.

Once again, I’m back to being a part of studio projects that I am not even a member for. Some of these I was asked to join, others, I bothered someone until they let me. Regardless of the situation, I had a blast with each and every single one of these moments. For a while now, I have been stuck in a designing mood, so that’s why a few of them look more “poster” like while others took more inspiration from certain animated series and/or styles. Also, a big thank you to all of my friends that play Genshin Impact since I asked a lot of weird questions to a few of them about very minor details that probably didn’t really matter, but it made me feel better to design frames that had a little bit more meaning to the character that I wanted to use. All in all, I hope that everyone that graciously allowed me to join their project (for whatever reason) was happy with the results that I created this time around. And if not, I also hope that I can try again in the future if you randomly decide to come and get me once more.

Honestly, all of these opportunities are very faltering. I know that I have said this multiple times, but I seriously wouldn’t have continued to edit for this long if it wasn’t for all the lovely and kind hearted friends that I have made along the way on these adventures. Every single one of you guys have allowed me to become a monster to where if I hear about a project that I could make even the tiniest connection to, I’ll ask you if there is a spot for me to crash the party. I’m not joking, if I’m coming to you, then you know that I have come up with a dumb idea. Please don’t let those ideas become a reality because some of them are actually insane and no one should have to deal with me when creating them. But I digress because, once again, I would like to say thank you from the bottom of my heart for being yourself and enjoying the random things that do create over here from time to time. For a while now, I thought about changing my nickname just SLIGHTLY. The reason why I’m doing this is because so many of you guys have always given me such high praise, I decided to give us both something that we could love together. So by this moment until the end of time, I shall be called Lulu The Grand(pa).

2023 has been a year. Like always, there were some ups and some downs, but no matter what, I always had a wonderful time getting the chance to spend so much of it with the people that I adore. Regardless if that time was spent online or off. Seriously, it has been almost 14 years since I started this editing adventure and not a second goes by where I am not overjoyed to see how this community continues to grow and change. I’m so proud of everyone and I’m excited to see what 2024 has to offer. As for me, there shall be a new collection coming soon as well as another scrap collection (because I’m a monster) trailing not that far behind. I also have a collaboration in process and a public MEP in the works (since I have been getting messages about doing one that isn’t full of my friends). Like always, I would love to say thank you to everyone that had to deal with my booty in 2023 and I hope with all of my soul that I was able to give back as much as I was able to receive. And believe me, I did receive a lot of wonderful opportunities that I will forever be grateful for and I just want you all to know that you can say NO to me if I ever come asking.

Lastly, before I go, the music for this showreel was meant to be a joke. Like I said, I have been given WAY TOO MUCH praise for even the simplest things that I do, so I thought it would be funny to really lean into the idea that I’m some sort of God. It’s a thousand percent not true, but I know some of you guys would think it's perfect.

I know this is something that I normally don’t do in a public setting, but to give you a quick rundown of what is happening in my life, I will be going on hiatus for a while. I’m moving to a new place coming next month, but because of financial reasons, I have canceled my subscription to Adobe as of today, so I will not have any programs to play with for a while. I do not know how long this will last, but please note that this was never a part of my plan. A thousand apologies to anyone that I still owe parts to. I thought that I could get it done by this time, but clearly that didn’t happen. And for that, I will be forever sorry to everyone that I have let down with this development.

On a different note, I would like to thank every one of my friends for continuing to be so AMAZING. This collection wasn’t meant to come out this soon as it didn't make the 1 minute mark, but I believe that this chapter should come to a close then to have an open ending. Granted it would be a full minute if I added all the parts that I did for the two MEPs on my channel as well as the 3 that did for Leum, but I don’t enjoy showcasing repeats like that as they already had their time in the spotlight beforehand. All in all, I seriously can’t believe all of the wonderful opportunities that I had here within this community and I will try my hardest to get back to you guys as soon as I can. I promise you that much.

Honestly, I’m confused how this actually came to be, but this situation is truly still funny to think about. Not that long ago, I asked to join a closed studio and to my surprise Alyssa and Nicole both thought it would be a good idea to allow this monster inside their home. On July 13th I noticed that a comedic project was left unattended and asked if I could just do the rest of the parts since I had been in a binging mood for the better half of June and got some new episodes of series people might not know about because I’m clearly like the funny ones. From there, I just did what I do best and made a mess of everything, so here are the results of that adventure. Look who's back at it again with another project that started 2 weeks ago. I’m still in shock by how many of my wonderful friends agreed to join me on this adventure because I truly didn’t think anyone would want to do this right when finals were a thing and summer was just around the corner. First and foremost, I would love to thank everyone (even to the ones that said no because of time restraints or for a number of different reasons) for being such an absolute joy to talk to and for making my dream come true. This project really does mean a lot to me, not only because of the song, but because it has always been on my mind after all of these years of wanting to do this kind of concept for Valentines Day. Even when those projects come and go, I always tried to make it a point to showcase the many kinds of love that people might have within this world, like the love for their work, hobby, friends/family, sports, traveling, etc. Love is truly all around us and I just want to help showcase that it doesn’t always have to be the romantic kind between two people each and every single time. So thank you. Thank you so much to all of my friends for joining me on this journey and I hope that you and everyone else watching this project enjoys this little team of talented editors doing their very best with no real direction or server to talk and discuss plans with one another. OMG. I’m truly a monster and I’m sorry.

This project is depicting aromantic characters and just because you might not agree with the story someone told through a character that you might view differently doesn't discredit the meaning of this project. Just like everyone else, we are all on a journey to self discovery, so please be kind and open minded to the stories that have been told regardless if they match yours or the original creators of these characters.

For a while now, some people have told me that they wanted to join a fun/funny project, so I thought March 16th would be a wonderful time to start this adventure. I don’t think you realized how kind and wonderful my friends are for graciously craving out some time within their busy schedules to do this with me. From start to finish some of them had a week's length and others just had a couple of hours. Not to mention that there were a few that wanted to join, but ultimately told me no because of how close I decided to start this party. So this little paragraph is just to say my thank you’s to everyone (and I do mean, everyone) that went on this journey with me. It seriously was such a joy to create and if I ever did this again, I would probably make a mini server on Discord to create an opportunity for even more people to laugh and goof around within this community.

Since the beginning, I have always thought that most of you guys are insane. Not because of your editing or how much content that you are able to put out within a certain amount of time, but for the belief that you all have in me. I don’t understand why this keeps happening no matter where I end up. I’m not joking… it's seriously bonkers to me that you all praise me for doing literally nothing all the time and so that’s why this collection is coming out today. This is going to be my example to you all that I am nothing special. I pretty much let the series speak for itself and as a result I mainly do quite simple things. Now, you guys on the other hand are FANTASTIC! Honestly, I wouldn’t still be here today if you all decided to stop creating. No matter what you do, even if your creation is a second or an hour long, you all amaze me to the stars and beyond the milky way. I can not stop watching and enjoying the content that each and every single one of you guys produce. Or at the very least, the title/nickname I am giving within some servers. You heard me right Kira and Anna, I would like to officially be called Lulu-I’ll do the work for you. Hehehe!

With all jokes aside (though, I still think it would be funny if anyone actually made it a reality), I would honestly like to thank everyone that joined me on this adventure starting on February 1st. I came to the conclusion long ago that I am not a fast replacement editor, but weirdly enough that’s the only position that I like to take on since it doesn’t require me to pick a part from the start and only requests my assistance to do something for a multitude of different reasons. Hence why I am forever grateful to anyone that allows me to do this without the pressure of getting something done by the deadline. However, I was weirdly able to do this… but as you can see, I only needed to finish up a few missing sections within certain parts. Minus the 4th one where I absolutely and aggressively bothered Neha into giving me those 2 seconds. Regardless, this whole experience was insanely fun for me because it brings me so much enjoyment to try and match the work that is given to me to continue. Granted, not many editors do this anymore, but this is seriously one of my favorite things to attempt and maybe you can see it, but that is why these three pieces look (slightly) different from one another.

I know I don’t usually upload side by sides before the collection, but the collection that they will belong to is getting pushed back to the end of February because I need a little more time to finalize a design for it. 2022 has been an interesting year, but I honestly wouldn't have changed any part of it for the whole world. I have continued to learn more things about myself as well as continue to improve(?) my creative side with this hobby of ours. I truly wouldn’t still be editing to this day if it wasn’t for you guys keeping me company with each and every step that I make. And what better way of showcasing this point with a song that I heard once and thought about everyone that ever had to deal with my booty this year. Seriously, look at all of these cameos.

I’m always so surprised by how many of you guys just allow me to do whatever. Like someone has to say NO at some point, right? RIGHT?! But lately it just feels like I’m a senior citizen that comes around (to places where they DO NOT belong) and ask dumb questions to where almost everyone just agrees and allows me into their house like it's not an issue. Do you see what I’m talking about?! Someone has to stop me… because you know how selfish I can become with all of this “power”. But, this is besides the point. I actually would like to thank everyone for being so nice and caring to me with everything that I do. I truly meant it when I said that I wouldn’t be still editing without you guys. I have found so much joy working with others on a one on one kind of starting line. It’s so interesting building scenes and ideas with one another that it’s pretty much the only way that I have gotten some of these parts done. I love seeing what everyone brings to the table in this kind of way. 2022 honestly was such an adventure and I can’t wait to see what everyone does in 2023.

Thou, before I go, I would just like to point out that so many of you guys wanted to see what I designed this year, so hopefully this was helpful. I am still the biggest fan of creating things on the simpler side, so these examples might or might not actually do anyone any good. But if you enjoyed them, then that is all that I could ever ask for.

Giving My Best Guess | | Collection

8ThompsonSisters19 2022-10-04 | I’m surprised that my computer hasn’t died yet//

But first, I would like to apologize to everyone that has been trying to get a hold of me for the past week. I had to unexpectedly move out of my house for an extended period of time that I thought wasn’t going to officially start until next year, but I guess there was a change of plans. Everything is good, it's just that my plans had to move up… so I had to deal with a lot of things offline before having the time to reply back to things within this community. So I apologize if this was any inconvenience to anyone that has been looking for me. I know most of them were not about editing since all of you by now should know how that story goes. Nevertheless, let’s move on.

This collection was interesting because it was the start of my computer dying. Now it’s not really dying, but I am pushing it more than I should for a laptop of its size. If you want to know more details, this computer only has 8 GB of installed RAM. AE is set to only use 2, but it's not the only thing that runs when I work, so previewing anything is almost impossible. Most of these parts were created by me looking at the audio and understanding what I wanted to visually happen and so it’s truly my best guess each and every time. My editing doesn’t have a lot of bells or whistles, so most of the time it's very doable because it’s simple, but it certainly was a learning curve. Now please do not misunderstand, I’m so proud of my strong, little computer for hanging in there and for always doing its best to help me pursue this hobby of mine, so I am not upset in any way. I can do this just fine, but it just might take me a little while longer to get things done because I can’t see anything while I work.

All in all, I’m still having a great time getting spoiled by everyone within this community (you know who you are when I say that). Though, I would like to continue to thank C3 and my crew members for always being there when I need to borrow your eyes and/or borrow your time and talents when I dig a hole deep enough to where I should probably ask for help. You all mean the world to me and I hope that I am able to give back to you all the same amount of love and support you have been giving me.

Here you go. I hope you’re happy that I spent the time collecting old files and projects, just so you can see what I have given up in the past. These are all scraps of parts that I had to eventually give back due to a number of different reasons during different situations within the given year. Once again, I would like to apologize for not being able to complete them and just like in the past, I do not plan to ever complete them now. They had their moment and now it’s time to move on. To me, these were never a waste. It didn’t matter how far I got or how “complete” they seemed, these projects all helped in the growth of my editing skills. I learned what worked and what didn’t. How I can do something faster and how I can do certain things more effectively without having to sacrifice visibility. I’m proud of what I was able to accomplish and even if these ideas will never be completed, they will never be forgotten (even more so since I used a few of them as a base for other projects to build off of).

Shut Up and Edit MEP | | One Week IC

8ThompsonSisters19 2022-07-08 | What else is there for me to say other than Selfish Time with Lulu has gotten bigger.

For the past couple of days, I wanted to do another recreation project since my composition building has gotten a lot cleaner than from a few years ago. However, I thought of a much dumber idea and this is what resulted from that starting point.

From the very beginning, I didn’t really have a plan, but I did know who I wanted to ask. To my surprise, more than half of them accepted such a general plan and helped me brainstorm ideas. Somehow we ended up with a song that I randomly suggested and from there we also ended up going with a very random, but very complicated plan that I thought about when listening to the song once again. I didn’t want this to happen because in all the past ICs that we did together, I was the one that picked the song that everyone else used and I didn’t want that to repeat itself, but no one denied my idea, so we all just went along with it. You all know that you spoil me rotten, right?

Regardless, I would like to thank everyone that joined me on this adventure. I seriously had such a wonderful time and it was very helpful for me to take a step back from the other pieces of work that I still have to do. I adore you all so much and I hope that this project was even half as fun as I tried to make it out to be. Looking back at this project, I’m still unsure if I was able to do anything justice. However, I very much adore everything about this journey regardless if I did achieve everything that I set out for myself to do. Not only was I able to “help” out such a wonderful studio, but I somehow was magically blessed to have gotten the opportunity to talk to Alyssa (Emberdragon) and Luu (DLuuChann) throughout the entire process. They both were such a joy to talk to and I will forever continue to apologize for my lack of communication during my mini disappearance as well as having to deal with me trying to fix everything that I created every single day because something COULD hit better and/or look different to convey the story more clearly. So to the both of you, thank you so much for allowing me to essentially be me and for also allowing me to take however long it was needed(?) to get to a place where I was happy with the end product. You both are seriously so AMAZING and I can’t wait to see what happens next.

Thou, before I go, I would like to extend my thanks to Luu for being such a wonderful sport, splitting the part with me. You didn’t need to say yes, but I’m insanely happy that you did. Let’s see where to begin. This new year has been an interesting one. I honestly do not know what is happening most of the time, but I would like to literally thank everyone for being such an amazing sport when it comes to dealing with me. I know it’s not easy since I take too much pride in what I do and in return it takes me years to complete something or nothing at all. I’m trying to do the best that I can with the time that I have dedicated to editing/designing, but sometimes things get the better of me. So here is to me slowing down.

This collection is called Spot the Difference because I have split and/or received so many parts within these last couple of months that most of my work is now consisting of other people’s insane talents. For a while, I was considering calling this collection section that featured me since everyone else is carrying my booty each and every time. However, I split the difference and did more unnecessary work in preparation of this collection with those talented editors that I was lucky enough to have gotten the chance to even talk to for however long it took me to finish. So I challenge you to Spot the Difference and see if you can tell who worked on what and where since not all splits were 50/50.

I bet you guessed this was coming since making a showreel is pretty much a tradition for me to do each and every year. Though, I really should start asking for other people to do these for me because I get too lazy too quickly to actually make it look decent by the end. However, I highly doubt I would EVER since these are so much fun to do (once I start going, of course).

What can I say about 2021? Hmmm… I guess the thing that comes to mind is how grateful I am for everyone that ends up dealing with me on and offline. Like honestly, you all are the true champions and words can not express how much you all mean to me. Regardless if we only talked for a second or we have been talking to one another for years, I really would like to thank you all for always allowing me to do whatever it is that I feel like doing (and/or taking my opinion about editing or designing in stride). I barely even listen to myself when I nitpick my work to the heavens, so it really does mean a lot to me that you all think my dumb ideas or changes are good enough to try. I love you all so much !!

Have I improved since last year? I really can’t say, but I do know that I adore textures as well as making my own scenes. BUT BOI… does my brain like to stop there and never actually edit anything together. A thousand apologies for being me. I shall try my best this new year to do more work, though I’m not even sure how I was able to produce a lot in 2021. I feel like I did a lot, but also not that much. Well, who knows.

As always, please feel free to message me whenever you need something and/or just want to talk. All of you guys are my greatest treasures and I will forever wish you all the best for years to come.

Honestly Trying | | Teaser(?)

First of all, this truly didn’t need to exist, but I also wanted to keep track of all the work that I still had to do. For a while now, I have been way too tired to get onto my editing computer lately and even when I do, I end up doing almost nothing with my time here. So it's back to being a tad stuck. I wouldn’t say that I’m in a place that is truly stuck because I can keep chipping away at my list of things to do, but it's not a lot that I am able to put down at a time. With that being said, I am so sorry to everyone that has to deal with my booty. It’s getting there, but also not (if that makes sense). I might take a breather here and there because there are some dumb idea that I have that I would kinda like to try out whenever I get the chance to do something random… like this for example. However, I will try to be more active whenever I can. I adore you all and once again, I AM SO SORRY!

Step 1 : Find a pretty image
Step 2 : Create a background that fits the theme
Step 3 : Color and light the character in the chosen color scheme
Step 4 : Add more details as well as create more light to highlight what's important
Step 5 : Slap on a very mild overlay of color and/or detail to hopefully make everything look the same and pray that I have done ONE of many compositions correctly

PS. One of them doesn’t have an “overlay” of color to make everything uniformed, so there is a long pause that is kinda distracting that I couldn’t really fix. Please ignore.

This… this right here was very interesting because over the course of two weeks, it had become apparent to me that Ruby (Ruby Tsuki) just allows me to do whatever I feel like with however long I feel like doing it. You have created a monster for allowing this to happen once again and I hope that you are happy with yourself Sweetheart. However, I digress because I seriously wouldn’t have it any other way. I actually would like to apologize for the tenth time for how SLOW I was when creating this piece. I really wanted to have it completed within my usual week of work, but somehow that time kept increasing because I kept getting stuck on how I wanted this to turn out. All in all, it really was such a joy to have gotten the chance to do this, with a series that made me laugh more times than I can count. It kinda feels like I’m in a dream//

Oh Boy! First and foremost, I would like to seriously thank everyone (I really do mean everyone) that had to deal with me leaving for quite some time and then magically coming back a month ish later. I honestly do not deserve you guys and it will forevermore become my pleasure to try and amount to the hopes and dreams you all continue to place onto me and my editing. I’m not joking! I have NEVER been in so many places where I just receive praise for ANYTHING that I do. Even just joining a studio has resulted in me getting love. I… I… I am at a loss of words because that is seriously so much more than what I deserve. Thank you (like a million times). I probably wouldn’t be here if it wasn’t for all of you guys, so thank you so much for your support and I hope that I can continue to “impress” and “inspire” you guys to try and achieve the things that you want to do with your time here within this community of editors. OK. Let’s see if I can actually write down some words in complete sentences.

Honestly, these were a lot of fun to create up until a few certain points that my laziness got the better of me, but regardless of those kinds of hiccups along the way, I still had a pretty enjoyable journey. I might not be the best when it comes to editing with Fanart, but color me impressed by the amount of skills(?) I have to be able to pull something like this off in the end. Granted, these were not solo adventures in any way… so I would love to give a huge shout out to C3 for chipping in and giving me the extra guidance I needed when I was this close to ripping my hair out with all the dumb compositions that I kept making. Oh, but let's also not forget the true MVPs of the show Shiva, Misch and Sarah, for not only letting me bombard you guys with an outrageous request and nitpicking your work, but for pulling it all off in 1 DAY (and/or a couple of hours). Can you believe it?!! They all only needed less than a day to create such a pretty section of art while I took a lifetime to do so (especially the last one). You darlings, are seriously the best of the best and it was an absolute joy to have gotten the chance to work with you guys. So to everyone else that is watching these parts, I really hope that you enjoy the 10 seconds that nearly broke my soul into a million pieces with each and every step that I took.

PS. I honestly need more content of all the pretty ladies within this game because they really do deserve a lot more attention then what they are getting. Also, to answer your (next probable) question, no… I don’t play the game. Sorry.

The moment has come; I think it’s finally time for me to step back… but before I do, I would like to say a few things. This one broke me. I don’t know what necessarily happened, but I honestly could not get this off the ground. My first idea died almost immediately and I had no other ideas later on that was long enough to stretch it out from beginning to end. I was at a stand still all the way up the deadline. It seriously wasn’t until I contacted Dea and Loni to help me out with this endeavor that this actually managed to happen. To my surprise they both agreed, without blinking, right there and then. I seriously couldn’t have done this without them and, like I have told them, there are no words that could express my utmost gratitude for all the help they have given by allowing my slow booty to finally get itself through the finish line with their FLAWLESS execution of their own skills and style. I love you both so much and I hope that you know that I mean it from the bottom of my heart. Please do not hesitate to contact me if you need anything (though I don’t know why you would need help from me).

Lastly, I would also love to point out just how much I adore OPS. I’m not the best with words, so please bear with me. From the second that I was magically accepted into this studio, I was overwhelmed with so much passion for teamwork. Everyone wanted to do something with everyone else regardless of it having anything to do with editing. It was such a pure and honest unit that for a while, I was dumbfounded that I even found a place like this within the community. I’m usually the one that floats around, that doesn’t pay much attention to anything/anyone, but with them it's so easy to want to know more about everything. This was certainly a surprise since I usually make a small AMV for this special holiday of love, but instead of doing that, I got roped into making an intro that was originally 33 seconds long. So like any other normal person would do, I accepted because I had ONE idea that I wanted to at least test out. After a few moments, I was able to get that 17 seconds completed, but the next task is what drove me right into a corner with no return because I had officially run out of ideas. So there I was… with 5 days left until the deadline, 17 seconds completed and 16 more to go with only one masking on top of a blank screen, I finally cracked and called Audrey (Blood Apples) to help me do the rest and thank my holy stars they accepted this dumb idea. MY LORD, are you seeing what they were able to do without even one complaint. Darling, you single handedly saved my soul from damaging everything into a ball of smoke because even now, I still have no ideas to go off of. Thank you… but like seriously, thank you so much for taking this on with me even if I wasn’t able to give it back to you in return. Next time thou, I’ll be there, ready to go. I’ll wow you with what I got to bring to the table.

So at the end of the day, this is the final product. I still wish that I was able to do more and hit all the beats and lyrics, but a lot of things got the better of me… and it just to show myself, once again, why I don’t like taking on solid deadline projects. I can never do them as well as I would hope.

2020 was an interesting ride, but the thing that was the most interesting to me was when my computer of 7 years finally had enough and decided to stop working. At that point, I really thought I should just enjoy my little break away from editing, but each and every day I was honestly itching to get back here and create something. I’m not sure where I’m going with this, since I feel like I have already mentioned all of this before when I did the Practice Makes Perfect editing gauntlet a few months ago. However, I would like to give my utmost and sincere thank yous to my friend Ichi, once again, for allowing me to continue my passion for editing/designing. Seriously, without you, I wouldn’t be here at all. I love you so much!

Now moving right along, this collection is certainly something. I would say that I have gotten better at composition building and how things should look, but MY LORD, my overall momentum needs a whole lot of work still. Maybe one day, I shall get these right, but until then I am apologizing in advance for my incompetence to make things as smooth as butter.

Honestly, I can not even begin to describe these past 2 weeks, but I do want to at least thank Audrey, Azaelle and Thea for doing this dumb idea with me (regardless if you were able to do all 5 of these concepts by the end). It seriously means the world to me that you would even consider carving out time within your day to edit something this intense/insane. I’m still sitting here wondering how I even got to this point, but whatever the reason, I am glad that I was able to take the dive into practicing with my new computer and programs in the way that I wanted, so that I wasn’t dragging my feet, making anyone wait for too long. Looking back, I think I came out of the gate too strong and got weaker and weaker with each and every concept, but I also took on more details that I wasn’t expecting myself to do (which is another reason why I would NEVER be good at creating actual AMVs for ICs). Nevertheless, this was such a great experience and I think I am finally ready to start editing for everyone once again. HERE I COME… BACK IN ACTION!!

Single images will always be interesting to me, but the second I try and work with them myself, I fail every single time. I can never wrap my brain about how to go about these without a general direction and/or time to actually do them correctly. So with that being said, I am so sorry to anyone that thought that I would do something interesting this time around. I had a thought and was going at an OK pace for a while until it suddenly was 10PM. Instead of trying to attempt the next scene, I decided to cut out all the parts that I didn’t do and only really worked on the one that I got completed (for now at least). And since it was shorter than the introduction, I wanted to shorten it too, so that it wasn’t 60-80% of the length of the “final product”. All in all, it was interesting from start to finish and I’m glad that I at least tried doing the style of editing that I always wanted to do well with my own two hands.

Ever since the last concept (because my mind wondered too much while masking every scene), I had an idea for the FX concept, but sadly, I forgot that I never was able to backup the newest episodes into the cloud of me to download/use another time… so in the end, I couldn’t even attempt the idea even if I wanted to. So here is a rushed Plan B because I didn’t have an extra plan to use. And by looking at this, I can really say with confidence that I suck at not being able to detail out a lot of ideas further than just the base idea. I’m so sorry for the turtle power within me. I promise you that I am really trying my best to get more accomplished within the 3 day time limit, but this is pretty much all I got to show for it this time around.

I came at this project knowing full well that I will not be able to make it through the whole thing within 3 days, but I still wanted to attempt it only because this idea has been at the back in my mind for as long as when I first heard this song months ago. And given this opportunity, I wish I was able to manipulate my visuals well enough to make the scenes that I create believable without the use of fancy plug-ins to help me get there. So here it is. A very red ish tone via color changes and other effects that took me much longer than masking the characters out scene by scene.

A huge shout out to all the digital artist friends that I bothered this past couple of hours to see if they could draw me pieces of a car. This is what I was going to use them in… but as you can see, I’m glad that none of you guys wasted your time by actually attempting to do my request. Hehehe!

This month has been one of the weirdest months that I have ever experienced in terms of editing because if it wasn’t clear enough with my last upload, my computer of 7 years has passed away and I was stuck in limbo for so long trying to figure out what to do since everything was gone and I was finally forced to figure out what path I wanted to take to get my programs back. All in all, I am ready for action once again with more or less all the programs that I originally had, but would like to have a few more weeks to practice with them since I have been working with a version from 2013 that never updated because you could buy them for life back in the day. I am so sorry if this has caused any inconvenience to anyone, I shall try and get back to where I was before all of this happened.

This video in particular started out because I wanted to go back to the roots of my animu days and work with all the series that I could get my hands on. As you can see, I never made it to completion, but enjoyed the thought of it enough to upload it. No one wanted this besides the 4 year old within me that thinks this is funny//

I seriously love/miss Vine to the point where I thought it would be an interesting idea to recreate a few of them for a collection that would ultimately just be for myself since my sense of humor and enjoyment is at a grade school level. However, this is all besides the point. This project was born because I have WAY too many things to do and instead of doing them, like I should, I decided to do something that makes me laugh. And what better way than using one of my favorite series to watch. Side note, I would also like to point out that my favorites within this particular series consistently makes me feel like the black sheep within SHS because the "normal" loved ones like Shinichi, Heiji and Kaito are just fine in my mind. (please consult the list below if you would like to know more). What else can I say about this edit other than, please do not think too hard about it. It roughly took me a couple of hours to do since it's just three scenes doing the same thing, but it was honestly the break that I needed to finally get back to doing the replacements and/or fill-ins that I like to do best. So thank you to everyone that continues to allow me to do whatever I want.

Oh, before it slips my mind once again, I would like to dedicate this recreated vine to Audrey (Blood Apples) for not only being such a lovely person inside and out, but for also pinpointing scenes that I was WAY too lazy to look them up myself because why would I want to keep track of things like that?! Welcome to //looks at it again// whatever this is. This story starts like any other, I got bored of doing the same thing over and over again, that I needed my daily break from it all with a good old fashion IC with friends that I'm still surprised how eager they all were to do this with me. You guys are WAY too much for my heart to handle sometimes that I hope you all know how much I want you to myself with each passing second in the day. Be scared or embrace it, your choice.

Anyhow, this was an absolute joy to create since I miss watching/editing with my favorite better half Mako Mankanshoku from Kill la Kill. She is everything that I could ever love in a character and while everyone else favors the other two girls, Mako was the one and only girl that forever caught my eye. Hehehehe. However, that is pretty much all this editing has going for it because even with a 1 DAY IC project I was only really able to get 6 seconds relatively completed while keeping my base idea the same as when it was placed down last night. I'll never really be good at these if there is a limit to the duration of the video, but if there isn't, OH BOY, you know that I can come at you with the best 3-7 seconds that I can cram into these little projects of mine.

It may be WAY past your birthday, but frankly I doubt that this specific idea would have even happened if I was around during the correct date. Take the Gamble | | Collection

Where do I even begin? This past month has been a weird one and first and foremost, it was no one’s fault for my lowkey disappearance, but here is my side if you wish to learn more. At some point, I was getting more and more active online and it seemed to have caused me to take on a lot of work since I kept asking the dumb question, “can I edit your work for you?”. It wasn’t long after that when editing started to become a pain and I wasn’t having a good time. I took my usual break to watch some series and before long a week had passed and my motivation to get back to my computer still was at 0%. I was getting worried that the passion to edit had left me until one day, I took a leap of faith in creating a result video for Wired Studio. In no way did I ever imagine it would be the final product because I ultimately only wanted to know if my desire to edit was truly gone or not. All in all, I just wanted to say that my test was more or less a success and I’m “back”. I might slow it down in terms of communication since I don’t want to end up the same position that I was in, but I will try my best to get to where I was socially online one step at a time.

This collection is called “taking a gamble” since I am well aware that I cannot work with certain media as well as other ones, but just having the opportunity to try means the world to me. And I hope with all of my heart and soul that someone is kind enough to take a gamble on your skills and allow you to work with something that's a little different and/or out of your comfort zone whenever you ask (since I am in no position to do so myself).

Last but certainly not least, a huge thank you to Lauren, Vickie, Pia and the team of C3 for letting me be selfish and take up all of your attention during this confusing part in my editing timeline. And another thank you to everyone in SEG for forever being such a wonderful group of editors that I have gotten the chance to know this past year(s). Even Though the studio is officially closed with all projects completed and uploaded, I do hope that if you need anything, you are all more than welcome to come talk to me and I shall help in any way that I can. This... this right here was only created because some people wanted to see what I have been doing that wasn't a bunch of ICs that I still can't really do well, but regardless needed the time away from editing parts that were bordering the edge of my insanity. Sidetracked IC | | Howl no Ugoku Shiro

Happy birthday Yuki. I bet you saw this one coming, huh? Or maybe not so much because who really knows what I will actually end up doing. This one started out cruel then got more normal(ish) and now it's somewhere in the middle of "does this really need to exist?". Honestly, I kinda wish I went with the first plan of using Yuki from Fruits Basket because Thea torture herself by using Kyo, so I wanted to balance everything out... but scrapped it and moved on to Plan B. Plan B was a normal series with a normal cast of characters, but didn't feel like I could use them well enough to convey the story, so Plan C here I come. Plan C was more or less what you see today, but in the Witch's POV instead of Sophie. Not really sure how I got here, but it was such a joy to get to edit when I was actively doing so and TOTALLY didn't stopped to watch the movie and other things that distracted me during this IC. All in all, I would love to wish you once again a happy birthday Yuki. You are an absolute joy to talk to (eventhou you think every little thing I do is just AMAZING). You are a wonderful person with a beautiful mind and I would love to be able to get the chance to have deep conversations with you again about the most randomest topics we can think of by either VC or typing it all out. I hope that today is as beautiful as you are and like always, I'll be around if you ever need help with anything.

This 1 DAY IC project was something that I was able to plan ahead for, but still wasn't able to use the full time in creating something longer. I, for one, am so sorry about that Yuki, but regardless of the situation, I still hope that you like what I have done. This IC really was such a nice change of pace since, I have been working on ONE part for so long that I was starting to lose my mind. I am not joking... I was really starting to lose it, so thank you, selfish time, for allowing me to do something else for a while.

I know you would have "preferred" the whole song edited with grade C editing... but I wanted to do it right (at least by my own standards). Guess who's back?! Back again... with another special birthday IC for Kenny. WOO~! I seriously bet you weren't surprised that I was the one that started this idea back up again, but I also highly doubt that you could even predict how much SHS members' care about you and your special day. They never fail to impress me so much that I'm blown away by the amount of work they all do for one another. But I digress because it's your birthday Kenny. HAPPY BIRTHDAY, MY BOY! I hope that they day has treated you right so far and that you had a WONDERFUL morning with all of the birds singing because you deserve that and so much more. It has been a blast to have gotten the opportunity to talk to you thru VC from time to time, that I'll make sure to come back online more often that I have been. Seriously, you are an absolute joy to talk to and I hope we are able to become great friends for years to come. Never doubt your work and your own skills because even now I still want them for my own power! Bwa ha ha ha!
PS. You do know that you can always combine all of your unfinished projects and uploaded them all together as betas, so that all of your hard work doesn't go underappreciated by us and all of your other fans.

This 14.5 hours IC project was something that I was of dire need of because for the last couple of weeks, I have been working on ONE GOD DAMN MEP PART, that I was starting to lose my mind. So thank you to everyone that joined me in my own selfish time, once again. I'll pretty much never stop making these, but you are all free to say "NO" to me at any given moment... because if you don't, you will get dragged all over again by my own whims of enjoyment. Honestly this situation is a win win because I get to see all of your pretty editing when it's over.
