🎆 Did you celebrate the country’s 250th birthday with some science? 🇺🇸
You still can! UT College of Natural Sciences alum Stuart Sevier (B.S., Math/Physics ’10) and Elaine Sevier, are co-founders of the Independent Media Initiative, which has launched 50x50: Science Across America. The project pairs YouTube creators across the country with scientists in all 50 states. Videos feature talents like Adam Savage, Xyla Foxlin, John and Hank Green and UT alum Joe Hanson (B.A., Biochemistry ’03, Ph.D., Molecular Biology ’13). As Hanson explains, “It’s a way to highlight what we think couldn’t have happened anywhere else: the things that have come and are coming and will come out of American science.”
