I couldn't give away a prize without making it a little special, something from me to the winner that really gets at the core of what my channel is about. Sure, the H harness, fire kit & tarp or Top Quilt & fire kit is probably more than enough. But I wanted to do 2 things with this giveaway : inspire the winner to get outdoors and give them a way to either learn new skills or hone the ones they have. Adding the Ferro rod and spoon blank allows you to now do just that.

The H harness rig or Top Quilt, will give you some of the gear you need to help you get out into the piney woods and enjoy it as much as I do. Your kit doesn't need to be super expensive or weigh mere ounces, it just needs to do its job, your skills will do the rest. I always preach using all of your gear together as part of a system, This Harness or Quilt will be part of the base of that system.

Everyone needs a proper fire kit, whether they are a weekend car camper, seasoned outdoors man or new hammock lover. Knowing how to start a fire can make or break a camping trip when your kids want smore's, let you cook some amazing steak and potatoes or potentially save your life. It's vital to not only have the right tools, but to have the skill to use them. This fire kit will give you plenty of ways to start a fire and has several types of fuel. The Ferro rod is just a way for me to help you hone your primitive fire making skills and be apart of all the fires you make once you learn the craft.
I just started carving and made my first spoon with the same blank in this giveaway. If can do it so can you! It gave me an immense sense of pride to see my daughter light up when I gave it to her so she can learn to make one with her knife. Hook knives are less than $10 on Amazon, but you can carve tons of stuff without one, JUST PRACTICE! These 2 items will help you hone your skills and rely less on gear, which is one of my personal goals.
