What only very few people know is that half a century ago already, an automated car circled the legendary Contidrom in Hanover: the then brand-new Mercedes Stroke-Eight! We show previously unknown footage, talk to the pioneers from back in the day and experience the "Cruising Chauffeur" on the German Autobahn: the current state of research and development on automated driving at Continental. Additionally, we dive into the history of the 114/115 series "E-Class", which Mercedes enthusiast Frank Kellewald presents to us at the end of this video.
