Last autumn we not only had the unique opportunity to test drive several generations of the Mercedes S-Class on one of their original test tracks in Germany, we also had their original engineers with us for an extensive talk! This developed into a fascinating collection of anecdotes and inside information from those who engineered the respective best car in the world: W109, W116, W126, W140, W220 and W221.
