There are thousands of survival games on Steam, but these are the 5 upcoming survival games I think have the potential to become absolutely massive.
0:00 Intro
0:56 Rooted
3:13 ARK 2
5:49 The Last Caretaker
8:18 State of Decay 3
11:20 Light No Fire
In this video I’m taking a look at Light No Fire, Hello Games’ enormous fantasy survival world; State of Decay 3, which is bringing back community management, permanent loss and zombie survival on a much bigger scale; ARK 2, with dinosaurs, revamped combat and a much more ambitious take on the ARK formula; The Last Caretaker, where you play as a machine trying to preserve humanity on a flooded Earth; and Rooted, a post-apocalyptic survival game focused on scavenging, rebuilding technology and exploring a world reclaimed by nature.
These aren’t just five games with flashy trailers. Each one has a specific idea, system or level of ambition that makes me think it could become something genuinely special if the developers can pull it off.
Which upcoming survival game do you think is going to be huge, and what game did I miss?
