I’ve been thinking a lot about our current social media environment, which seems to be filled with confident artists able to summarise their knowledge into 5-point lists. It’s easy to feel that successful artists are supremely capable and all-knowing. But that’s just not the case. So this week, I thought I’d share five things I still don’t know as an artist, and what it’s like to keep making work when some questions never really resolve. I used to think not knowing was some kind of failure, something to outgrow. But I’m starting to think it might be something else entirely.
