The word "Cult" is usually defined as a social group that is defined by its religous beliefs. It doesn't seem too bad on the surface, but like many other things in society, it has a much darker side to it.
From the infamous Mason Family to more obscure cults such as the People's Temple, thousands of people have died as a result of, torture, and suicide. Some of these cults perform rituals and sacrifices in the name of their higher power. For example, Nikolai Ogolobyak had a satanic cult where they sacrificed things from rats to even four teenagers. Those involved were eventually arrested in connection to their crimes, but whatever you do in the end, don't drink the Kool-Aid(You have to watch to the end of the video to understand).
