There is so much more to understanding photo replication than this short series can cover. The basic topics are covered but only to illustrate that despite the many "helpful" YouTube videos and "instant fix" softwares that are available, your machine is not the predictable "ball point pen" that you thought you bought it. YOU must explore and understand its UNIQUE characteristics to extact the best performance. I hope I have shown you that DOT size and not SPOT size is the key to quality engraving , DOT size will change with different materials and the manufacturer's focal point is not the same as the INTENSITY focus .Image resuloutions beyond 254 ppi can only reliably be achieved with fibre lasers and even then only on certain materials.
