Very few residents of the Twin Cities metropolitan area were able to sleep through the night as Mother Nature put a rather loud lightning show overnight.
It was a perfect spring night's thunderstorm, very little wind, a good rainfall and about 2 hours worth of vivid lightning and thunder.
Unfortunately, one family did lose their home as a result of a lightning strike, which caused their home to burn.
