In this new tutorial by flomotion you will learn five hidden features within after effects, that are not here by default.
All the features are huge time savers and come in super handy!
Hidden Feature number one:
Convert audio to keyframes. With this feature you can convert an audio layer, song, sound effect into keyframes, that you can then use to drive an animation. The louder the sound, the higher the value for the keyframe slider.
Hidden Feature number two:
Motion Sketch. Learn how to record the motion of your mouse or pen on your graphic tablet to get some really natural organic motions for your animations. As a bonus you will learn how to auto orient an object along a path, and how to animate text along a path as well as how to copy a position path onto a mask path
Hidden feature number three:
Convert text to a path or shape layer. Now you learn how you can create really cool looking motion graphics by creating paths and shapes out of text
And as a bonus tipp you will learn how to link your layer name to the source text, so whatever your layer name is, the text will be the same with this easy expresion:
text.sourceText = thisLayer
Hidden Feature number four:
Link focus distance to a layer or null object. In this tipp I am going to show you how to find the exact focus within 3d and therefore make the most out of Depth of Field for your 3d scenes!
Hidden feature number five:
The last feature is the best and the one that saved me most of the time: Content aware fill
With this feature you can remove unwanted objects from your footage, like disturbing persons or objects and even logos
