You know red isn't my favorite color; but it is the color for AIDS so I had to give it a go. Really happy with how this deconstructed bloom turned out, even if the copper stole the show over the red. Dedicated in loving memory of my best friend Sandy, who was taken by AIDS far too soon at age 32. RIP Sandy I love you.

Colors, Brands, Pouring Medium Recipe:
House Paint-base aka puddle for the substrate:
PPG Multi-Pro in Eggshell.
Pouring Medium aka PM Recipe—mix with all colors EXCEPT the cell activator:
Behr 8300 Untinted Deep Base Paint (Home Depot); Minwax Polyacrylic Gloss Varnish 3:2 ratio paint to varnish. Mix well.
Brands/Colors mixed:
This Little Piggy (TLP) pigments in Athena, Maraschino, and Bellini Amsterdam paint in Carmine, and Red Violet. Pebeo Studio Acrylics in Iridescent Copper.
Golden and Da Vinci Fluid Acrylics-- I put about 2-2 1/2 ounces of the pouring medium into a 3 ounce cup, then squirt in color until I reach my desired shade. Mix well.
For tube paint, I added an ounce of paint (heaping tablespoon) to a 3 ounce cup, then added 2 ounces of pouring medium. If still thick then I'll add a teaspoon of varnish/water to thin. (I make a bottle of "Jo-Wa" by adding 1/3 JoSonja Gloss Varnish and the rest water, and keep it in a squeeze bottle and use as my "water.")
All pigments are 1/8th tsp. pre-disbursed with a small amount of JoSonja Varnish to wet it (stir really well), then add into a 3 oz. cup of Pouring Medium; stir well.
Cell Activator Color:
Australian Floetrol + Amsterdam Light Gold. 3:1 ratio Floetrol to paint.
