In this video I use an inexpensive infrared security sensor as a light curtain which will pause my CNC machine during a cutting job and park the spindle. On one side there is a One transmitter of infrared light and the other a receiver. If the light beam is broken due to someone getting to close the machine will automatically pause. It worked so well during maker central 2019 I had to unplug it.
