Restoration work on the Grade I listed Great Barn at Gawthorpe Hall, near Burnley, is complete! 🌟
Requiring urgent repairs due to roofing failure and structural weakness, the building has received support from our Heritage at Risk Capital Fund for timber repairs and the replacement of the heavy stone roof slates.
The project has also provided opportunities for organisations and members of the local community to learn important heritage craft skills.
The reopening of the barn on 15 July will allow the space to be utilised for a broad range of uses, including events and exhibitions, skills training, and community activities.
