Hey guys, and welcome to a new video. Today I have quite the contraption to show you: it's a 3 directional y0 bedrock breaker.
Bedrock breakers on flying machines already exist, but previously, these machines only went in a single direction. Consequently, you had to use a lot of machines to clear out a 2d area. For example, scicraft worked on project skyblock, in which they removed a 1000x1000 area of y0 bedrock. For this, they used 200(!) of their 5-wide bedrock breakers, which is quite insane and time consuming. this contraption can replace these 200 bedrock breakers with just 1 machine and therefor save a lot of time.
I did most of the project by myself, but I used 2 small parts that I got from other people. These include the piston layout and wiring for the actual bedrock removing. I got this from Myren Eario, who has done a lot of research on bedrock breaking/headless piston tech. He also was the first person to create a setup that does not delete pistons. I decided to use this setup as it would save hundreds of thousands of pistons. Link to the 1 directional bedrock breaker that he made using this piston-saving layout: youtube.com/watch?v=TAT-f4z5aBY&t=3s
I also want to credit Xcom, for sharing a trick to make 2 headless pistons at almost the same time. Link to his yt channel: youtube.com/user/Xcom6000
