I created this experimental animation entirely inside After Effects using its advanced 3D engine.
The video explores 3D shapes, glowing energy, surface deformation, and impact-driven motion. I wanted to test how far After Effects can be pushed without relying on external 3D software.
From circular formations and bouncing energy spheres to surface tearing, hovering lights, and ripple effects, this piece is all about experimenting with form, motion, and interaction.
I took inspiration from several talented designers and motion artists whose work encouraged me to try new 3D techniques and push my workflow further.
If you enjoyed this animation, let me know — I might turn it into a full series.
Thanks for watching!
