In this Video, we will be creating pirate coins or at least a coin with a skull on them.
I then Printed them out and coated them with Gold Leaf (though you might want to try gold spray paint). I wanted the coins to look worn and with a touch of paint, I think we achieved that.
If you want to download the STL be sure to check out our Blog post (link below)
Hopefully you enjoyed this video, if you did be sure to give it a like and as always thanks for watching!

![Unreal Engine 4: Part 5 - Opening and Closing Door [Lock and Key]
In this video we will be looking at opening and closing a door, along with locking it and adding a key pick up that will unlock the door. We will also add the ability for the door to Slide open (for elevators and other types of sliding doors).
If you would like to use the same key mesh as I did, you can find the link to the download in our blog.
With the Door blueprint, we could simplify it and create Drawers, that can be opened and items can be picked up.
In the Next Part, we will be focusing on the Player Objectives, in order to prepare for adding the Journal..
I hope you are enjoying these videos and as always, thanks for watching!.

![Blender VFX Tutorial : Flight of the fireflies [Eevee and Cycles VFX]
In this Blender VFX Tutorial, we will be compositing fireflies. With the help of the Boid Particle system and a bit of tracking we can easily create a surreal fantasy scene.
I am using Blender 2.8 though this tutorial can be done in previous versions (there may be some differences). If you want to download blender 2.8 then follow the link below.
Tracking the shot was not too difficult and considering the motion of the camera, I only added 10 tracking markers.
The background footage I used was downloaded (link below) so I had to let blender work out what my focal length should be.
Once we are happy with the Average solve error, we can then setup our 3d scene.
In this example I remove the background layer (but you may want to keep it and have reflections).
Then using a particle system, we change a few settings to get the effect that we are looking for.
When it comes to rendering, you can render with either Cycles or Eevee. I decided to render with both. Im not sure if its a bug but when we activate motion blur in Eevee it doesnt seem to work.
One of the benefits of rendering with Eevee is the Speed. It took me about 1 hr and 15 mins for Cycles to render this whole animation. Whereas Eevee took only 20 mins.
I also considered adding a light cast to the water but in the end I decided that the Glow from the flies probably wouldnt reach the water but since you are compositing this VFX scene you can decide for yourself.
If you did want a reflection in the water, you could add a mix node and connect the render layers to that mix node. then add a translate node and move the position of the new fireflies to be below the original fireflies ( I would also add a scale node and scale them on the Y a little) then play around with the blend mode and factor to get something that you like.
You can then add your color grading and finalize your shot.
If you create something cool, be sure to post the links in our facebook group!.
Hopefully you enjoyed this Blender Compositing Tutorial and as always,
Thanks for watching!..
