Are carbon fiber and glass fiber reinforced PCTG filaments actually stronger than regular PCTG? In this video, I test 3D Fuel Pro PCTG-CF and Pro PCTG-GF and compare them with standard PCTG results from my earlier testing.
Both filaments are made in the USA and designed as reinforced engineering materials, but do carbon fibers or glass fibers make the bigger difference? I tested tensile strength, layer adhesion, impact resistance, creep, temperature resistance, dimensional accuracy, and much more to see how they really perform in practical 3D printing.
The goal is simple: find out whether these reinforced PCTG filaments are worth using instead of regular PCTG, and where each material performs best.
