Songbird keeps scaring people away, until she finds a solution to hide her sharp teeth.
Sorry it’s been four months since I last posted! College has been busy :,] this film was made last spring for my 3D Animation class. I don’t remember how long it took exactly, around two or three weeks, I think. I 3D modeled the building and the smiley-face mascot thing, as well as making the textures for them. Songbird was 3D modeled, rigged, and animated by me as well. Backgrounds were drawn in Procreate and the people were animated in RoughAnimator. Everything was composited together in LumaFusion. Thanks to my dad for letting me use some of his music for this!!

Songbird has been in a few of my animations at this point (specifically “how did I get here” and “Pop Culture”). She’s a creature who has existed for a very long time, since the 1500s at least. Her main goal is to protect people and especially children from danger, but it can be difficult to do that when everyone is terrified of you. This little animation is canonically how she got her mask, which did sort of help people be less scared of her. Sort of.
I took a traditional animation class this past semester, and I’m currently editing a couple videos from that to upload here, I’m planning to get them done and posted within the next week or two, so keep an eye out for those :]
